Enhancing anaerobic digestion of automotive paint sludge through biochar addition

The reduction of traditional fuel sources and the unpredictability global economy have led to a push for renewable energy alternatives. Waste recycling can significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions. In this study, effects different proportions biochar on efficiency mesophilic anaerobic digestion automotive paint sludge were investigated over period one month. A combination in ratio three was used, added reactor two amounts 10 26 g/l, with control sample without biochar. cumulative volume biogas produced at end one-month experiment recorded samples: (without biochar), second (with 2 g third 5.2 biochar). volumes 300, 380, 530 ml, respectively. Additionally, COD rates 25%, 33%, 48%, VS decrement 21%, 27%, 43%, findings showed that adding containing increased production. chromatography results an optimal extracted from indicated presence about 50% methane gas. These highlight potential utilizing processes improve production waste management.
